The Fabulous Five

Fab Four
I haven't done a cosmetics review on the blog in ages. So, here you go. Four fab-u-losa products that I use every single day. Two are super inexpensive. Two are splurges.

I will keep the descriptions short and sweet. You ladies just have to trust me and go pick these up TODAY. Then the description will be written all over your pretty little faces.

Put this on after your foundation (liquid or powder). It sets your makeup and gives a flawless, air brushed, soft focus finish. Only $6 smackeroos! The brush is perfect for applying any mineral makeup. It's the softest I have found and holds up like a dream. Another $6 smacks.

I have tried at least a dozen different mascaras...cheap and expensive. This one is my golden child by far. It stays on all day, doesn't clump and truly blasts some extra lash into my lashes. Only downfall, is it is kinda hard to get off.
This is silk in a tube. I just started using it a few weeks ago and I am hooked. Put it on before your foundation. It REALLY does minimize pores/lines and evens out your makeup. It's one of their best sellers. This is NOT a BB cream. It's $30, but worth every penny.

Best cover up EVER!!! They have a ton of colors to pick from. It lasts forever. It covers up scars, acne, freckles...you name it. If I had to pick just one product that I could not live without, this would be the one. It's $35, but again, it will last you several months.

What are your fab fours? Are any of these on your list?

So, you might be wondering why the title of this post is The Fabulous Five and my board says The Fab Four.

Well....I have a fifth fabulous topic to discuss and her name is Cassandra. She blogs over at Twenty- Five in My 25th.

You guys, this girl is something fierce. I mean, anyone who can get her boyfriend to not only dress up as all eight reindeer, BUT can get him to agree to let her post it on her blog is golden in my book. Here's a little peek of the first four...I die!!

Not only are they both goofy together (in a good) way, they are both adorably romantic. Is this or is this not, the sweetest birthday set up you have ever seen? Ross, are you taking notes??? I want THIS for my birthday.

And, Miss Cassandra is pretty darn crafty with a cup of hot chocolate. She made fancy-dancy little shapes with Cool Whip. Cool Whip, people. You will want to bookmark this one. I sure did. And go pin it while you're at it. A-dor-able.

She is a rock star, right? I knew you would love her. And you're gonna love her even more because she is giving one lucky reader a gift card to iTunes. She is funny, lovey-dovey, crafty AND giving. People like her are hard to find these days.

Make to tell her thank you.

It would have to be nail polish!

I think I need the pore minimizer - my skin is just so hard to put concealer on especially in the winter! It's so dry, too. Ugh!

I use Lash Blast too, minus the waterproof one because like you said, I have so much trouble getting it off. The one thing I probably can't live without is either some sort of cover up or mascara!

Ooooh I want to try the Pore Minimizer now! I use the Smashbox primer and I love it, but I'm always open to new great finds! I have the MAC translucent powder on my list too, but I'm wondering now if I should try the Elf one first! For 6 dollars if I don't love it, it's not a waste (compared to the other, especially)!

I can't live without mascara. Like you, I found a cheap one (Maybelline) is my favorite. If you like the elf powder try out some more of their stuff. The cream eyeliner is fabulous at one $3!!

I've used the Elf HD powder for a while now, and I adore it! Why spend up to $40 when $6 is all you need?

Okay so I'm kind of embarrassed to admit this but I got the POREfessional in my Birchbox and have just NEVER used it! Now I must use it immediately! Your review of the DermaBlend has me thinking. I am a big Laura Mercier fan but you are making me think twice!

I would have to say my philosophy face wash and hope in a jar face cream, nothing feels better then washing off the dirt and grim of the day and having a fresh face for bed.

Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer - the price of it made my stomach hurt, but nothing has been better on my face.

Sephora mascara and peach blossom eyeshadow on the daily.

I love the covergirl mascara but seriously-do they have to stay on so well!
Well... I mean I guess I love that quality during the day, but I definitely find myself cursing them a little at night.

If chapstick counts, it is by far the one thing i can't live without!! If not, than face powder. Otherwise i'm a shiny mess!

I am Bene-holic...everything (almost...like 80%) of their products I own and love!! I am obsessed with their Hello Flawless powder...and the brow bar...expensive for waxing eyebrows but the wax is gentle and they do a good job!! I went to this cheap, quick wax place and omg they look like I didn't do a thing :(

I use my MAC eyeliner and eyeshadow pretty much everyday, it's my favorite!

I would have to pick mascara. It really makes my eyes look bright, or I look terrible without it.

Dermablend also works to cover tattoos ;) However, I use Merle Norman's Lasting Foundation for a cover up, because once it dries you do not have to worry about anything peaking through. I even covered a spot when we went wakeboarding and the water didn't even wash it off!
