Toning It Down

Ross, my hubs and photographer, had bigger fish to fry, so I had to iPhone photo myself for this post. How dare he go out of town for work to provide for our family. I am glad my parents taught me how to be resourceful and not rely on a man. Kidding! Totally kidding! He actually did go out of town which resulted to this...

I got these leopard denim pants awhile back. I have only worn them a few times because I always felt they could only make an appearance after the sun goes down. "After hours" are really the only times I have worn them. You know, during a Vegas girls weekend and date night with the Ross.

I was determined to figure out a daytime version. A casual version. All it took was throwing on an un-tucked pink oxford with some flats to not feel like I was heading to the club.

I will say, when I was out and about, I received a few confused looks. What? Come on, people. Haven't you ever seen a grown woman wear leopard denim before? Sheesh. Oh, well. I like them and now that I have figured out the toned-down effect, I will be wearing them more often.

Just in case you actually like something from this outfit, I recreated it here with links for you to shop.

Pink and Leopard

Do you have something in your closet that you don't think you could pull off from 9 to 5?

Did you see yesterday's post? If not, there is a $330 necklace up for grabs! Make sure to go enter yourself a few times.

SO SO cute!! The pink shirt looks really good with leopard print. You could also try wearing them with a denim shirt for a day-time look..?
I always feel a little weird wearing a bodycon dress during the day, So when I do I always make sure I have on a loose top or sweater over it.

I have a lot of sparkly tops and accessories that don't think I could ever wear to work. I don't work in a creative field and I think people would look at me and go, "did you not change from last night????"

Too cute!! I got a pair of pants just like those and haven't worn them, yet. A little scared, maybe. :) Thanks for sharing! xo

I think this totally works for a daytime casual look! Those people giving the looks clearly don't know that printed denim is IN! I usually only wear my sequin tank at night...I could probably wear it during the day but I think I'd get the weird looks too :) Have a great weekend, Shanna!

I have those leopard pants in grey and I haven't even worn the darn things because I feel like they are too scandalous or something. So this really hit home for me! I'm gonna have to use this style formula!
