That Piece

casual weekend style in a chambray dress and tennis shoes

Happy Labor Day and the first day of September. I hope everyone is enjoying their day off with some BBQ, any sort of body of water and soaking up the last days of summer. I know we are!

I wanted to show you guys another way I wore my chambray dress. Last time I jazzed it up a bit with heels and a fancy clutch. This go around, I kept it super casual with my new plaid slip on sneakers, a simple black cross body and fedora hat. Just goes to show you how versatile this chambray style dress is.

If you haven't hopped on the chambray dress train, I hope this style sells you. Honestly, it's become more than a one hit wonder and never ceases to amaze me with all it's styling tricks. It's "that" piece that will see you through all seasons and has a million styling ideas up it's sleeve.

Enjoy your day off and don't forget to check out my Labor Day sales and wish list from Friday. Today is your last day to shop the best of the best sales before Black Friday.

Those shoes are gorgeous! I've been crazy for any kind of patterned slip-ons for the last few weeks. I think those ones are potentially my favourite!

Great look and I guess it is time to get my chambray dress out. Love the sneaks, tried to get myself a pair when I saw them at Target but out of my size so I am hoping when we head to Pennsylvania in two weeks that I can find them ( Target in Canada does not ship , sad face here)

Love those cute little sneakers! I wear my leopard ones that I bought after I saw yours all the time. Might need to pick these up too.

Ugh. Those shoes! I just looked at them after your post last week while at Target, but with the kids with me (BEFORE SCHOOL!) I couldn't make up my mind. I think you just cemented the idea in my head that I need these for fall. So great!

Love this look!

Yup, perfect! The plaid sneakers make this laid back but the necklace gives it a little pop.
