Style Remix - Houndstooth Dress

This past weekend we had back-to-back holiday parties. My lady friends that have been reading for awhile know that I like to remix my wardrobe and strive to purchase pieces that are not only affordable, but ones that I can wear more than once. Enter this houndstooth shift dress from Target. I posted a snip-it on Instagram wearing it Friday night right before we headed to holiday party #1. What you see below is almost an exact replica of what I wore to the event. I did add some tights to keep warm.

Holiday Party:
Dress // Jacket (own it and LOVE it) // Necklace // Heels // Clutch // Bracelet // Earrings

Holiday Shopping:
Dress // Denim Jacket // Riding Boots // Satchel // Watch // Scarf // Earrings

I randomly came across this dress last Thursday evening after we celebrated Ross's birthday. Even though I REALLY didn't need it, when I saw it I knew it would be the perfect dress for not only holiday get togethers, but also running around for last minute shopping. Yes, I am one of those minute-to-win-it gift buyers. Procrastination works in my favor.

I was playing around in my head on how else I envisioned this dress being styled and viola, I came up with the look to the right.

This dress is so basic that I am sure there are a plethora of other ways it can be worn. In case you are wondering, the fabric is super high quality and is fully lined...no slips required. Score! If you have been searching for the perfect holiday dress that you can actually wear again, look no further. This is your ticket. And for the price, you just can't go wrong.

Yep, Target definitely did it it again. Where in the world would we be without that place? I am assuming in a long line at Wal-Mart. No thanks.

P.S. Was I really able to focus on a post when I have date with Beyonce tonight? Wish us luck on our road trip to Dallas. The highways suck and it's icy, but "I am a Survivor". Sorry in advance for the obnoxious Instagram posts that will be going down. Eeeeeeeek!!!

I love this dress! I tried it on in store but I was on a "no shopping ban" so I sadly had to leave it on the rack :(. Hope you have fun at the concert tonight! JEALOUS!

That is one gorgeous Houndstooth Dress and if I had it, I would come up with even more remixes, seriously. I own a couple of Classic Black+White Houndstooth Dresses, myself. I love the Classic print.

I know how much you love and wear Kimono Sleeves, Shanna. I am wearing a Kimono-Sleeve Tunic Sweater today and I think you would totally approve of my Outfit. I thought of you, seriously. So, come take a look.

Have a Great Week ahead. Looking forward to linking up on Wednesday. =)
