Nothing New

Another Wednesday, another dose of random. I figured I better get as much out as possible since next Wednesday I won't be here. I will be opening presents, eating an enormous amount of food, making memories with family and celebrating my Savior's birthday. So, this is the VERY LAST Random Wednesday link up of 2013! I can't even believe it!

Forever 21 Puffer Vest (great options here and here) // Old Navy Top (option) // Old Navy Coated Denim // Wallis Ankle Boots c/o (love these) // Forever 21 Leopard Clutch (similar styles here and here) // Forever 21 Fur Scarf (optional styles here and here) // Michael Kors Watch c/o Jeweler's Wife // Forever 21 Leopard Bangle (option) // Lilac Bijoux Bow Bangle c/o // Kendra Scott Ring c/o Jeweler's Wife// Forever 21 Spade Studs (option) // H&M Sunglasses (option)

Nothing that I am wearing today is a recent purchase. Go me! I plan to continue my remixing until the new year and only shop with gift cards I hope to receive from Santa.

Speaking of Santa, I am freaking out just a teensy-weensy bit because I am not finished Christmas shopping. Not only do I still need to shop, but I need to wrap the gifts that I have gotten. Nope, not a single present is under my tree. How pathetic is that? Why do I do this to myself? I guess I am a procrastination junkie. Wish me luck.

Our sweet Gus, the newest member of our family, has melted our hearts in less than four days. I never in a million years thought I could fall in love so quickly, but I have. He is a perfect little angel. I am dreading when he goes off to "camp" on December 29th. We are sending him for bird hunting training. Ross says he is going to be gone for two months. I say he'll be back sooner. He's that smart. Maybe I am just telling myself that because I'm already so bummed that he's going to be away for so long. Who have I become? You guys, this is soooooo not like me to get mushy over an animal.

My invisalign trays still haven't come in. It's probably a good thing that I get them after the holidays because let's be honest, I plan on eating like it's my job and cosuming a few glasses of red wine over the next week or so. What a pain it would be to take my trays out every 30 minutes. Yes, that's how much I plan to indulge.

I almost forgot to tell y'all what I thought about Beyonce's concert. I went to see her last Monday in Dallas with two of my girlfriends. I have to say that I was mildly disappointed. We all were. She didn't bring it like I thought she would. She only sang snip-its of some of my favorites and butchered a Whitney Houston song. Don't get me wrong, I still love me some Queen B, but I would definitely not pay to see her again. And there was no encore. What? Who doesn't do an encore? It's expected. Right?

Before I end this all-over-the-place post, I wanted to be sure to ask you to come back again tomorrow. I have been planning this post for two weeks and cannot wait to share it with you. Hope to see you then!

**If you are linking up today, the only request is that you follow my blog with GFC or Bloglovin' and link back to it in your post. It's how weekly link ups work. Oh, and go meet some new friends!

Bummer to here that Beyonce's concert was a bit of a disappointment - she's one of few performers I would love to see. Great outfit - I love everything from head to toe and good for you if you can control the after Christmas sales!

I love your scarf!! I was so tempted to buy one like that yesterday, but wasn't sure how it would look and I couldn't decide. Yours makes me want to go back and get it!

You look great. I am going to re-create this look when it gets warmer. I even have a similar scarf.

Too bad Beyonce didn't bring it. I have only seen her in concert as part of Destiny's Child. And none of my Daughter's presents are wrapped either and it's her first Christmas.

I am feeling Happy, Merry & Bright in my Outfit today. Come take a peek. And if we don't talk sooner Beautiful Shanna - HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU & YOUR FAMILY!

Little Gus! Just a precious boy. Is it scary that Chris and I are going to look at another dog while we are visiting my parents... Hey...Chris won't give me a baby yet, so another dog it is!

Also, on our main radio station here, Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, they were talking all about Queen B and saying how her performances are life changing. Good to know that there are other opinions out there!

As for next Wednesday. I care about eating more than I do my pressies....maybe bc I bought most of them!

Love you!

Shanna, I love your hair like this. I wish mine was a bit longer so I could do this. I also love the fur and leopard.

Every time I see you in fur, I like it more and more! Maybe I can find something in an after-Christmas sale :) While my Christmas shopping is done, I have only wrapped a few presents. With the kids still in school and me working this week, spare time is limited. Ugh! There is still so much to do. Only one week left!!

I love how the faux fur and leopard looks together, so winter chic! That is a major bummer about Beyonce since I'm sure the tickets weren't cheap. And I don't think I could make it 2 months without my dogs. When I go on vacation, I miss them like crazy!

That's so cute that your dog is going to camp for training!! I've never heard of that; but I also don't have a dog. I did all my shopping online yesterday. I don't have kids so it's easier. I still don't have my cards!!! Oh well. Christmas should never stress you out. It's all for fun and it'll get done when it gets done. I've seen Beyonce and I thought she was great. It's too bad the show was disappointing. Love your re mixed oufits. You have so many clothes us readers will never know the difference!!

I love the pants!

Oh, it's doom that Beyonce wasn't that good, I would have imagined her concerts to be amazing!

I've not wrapped a singled gift yet either, I forgot to buy tags too so I don't want to get them mixed up. Boo.

PS your Beyonce experience sounds a lot like how I felt seeing Red Hot Chili Peppers this past summer. I have been waiting since I was like 15 to see them (that makes over 15 years.. yes I just dated myself)... so yeah, HIGH HOPES! The weather was horrible but I stuck it out to see them headline the festival. The sound was a bit messed up on the right side of the stage but I didn't let that get me down... however I really feel like they phoned it in for the entire show. I was really sad - AND they left 15 minutes before the show was supposed to end, NO encore... divas much?

I agree with you unless there is a noise ordinance OR they are told to leave the stage an encore is the ONLY way to go.

P.S.S. Pearl Jam is a perfect example of this. They did a show at Wrigley Field this year in Chicago. HUGE HUGE show. Mother Nature made a huge thunderstorm roll through which stopped the concert, and delayed the show. Instead of hanging up the towel. They waited out the storm, along with all the fans, got shelter and waited... the Mayor of the town even lifted the noise ordinance to make it LATER to allow Pearl Jam to go BACK on stage at almost midnight to play for the fans. It was a once in a lifetime chance and true fans and the band stuck it out. Dear other bands THAT Is how it's done!! :) (And these dudes have been playing for over 20 years they didn't HAVE to do that, but their fans are their legacy... so, yeah. BOOM Take note Queen B! :)

Oh no, how disappointing to hear about Beyonce's concert. You'd think with her recent album drop she would have brought it extra hard during her concerts, no? I haven't seen her yet but consider B my favourite entertainer based on her videos and award show performances. How disappointing (and I'm sure those tickets didn't come cheap)!
