I need some extra eating pants...

Hey, party people! Let me just tell ya, I have a serious food hangover from Ross's birthday last night.

And I have only a few hours to recover before I have to get my romp in gear to run a ba-jillion errands for our company Christmas party that we are hosting at our house Saturday. Once again, I am stressing. I love this time of year, but all the crazy hustle and bustle make me want to eat...like a lot...like all day...like I did last night at Ross's birthday. I blame any and all weight gained in December on the stress that the holiday season SHOULD NOT cause. I know I am not alone. I can see at least 10 of you nodding your head with me now. I need to own about 5 extra pairs of these bad boys to take me to 2013.

And, I want to make a fun holiday cocktail for the party. Anyone got one that they want to share? Yes, I know I can go look on Pinterest, but I want my friends' opinions/recipes. I know you ladies have plenty up your sleeves. I want it to be pretty like this, but the website didn't provide the name or the recipe, just the yummy looking photo. Help a sister out.

Casa's Feliz Navinog

And while I am kinda "off" today, I am over at Franziska's blog giving you the scoop on a few things like:
What blogs I read everyday.
How I stay on trend and not go broke as a joke.
How I handle rude people constructive criticism.
What I love most about blogging.
Plus a few other this and thats.

So, go check it out. Franziska's blog is pretty freakin' fab. Her sense of style will make you want to hit up J.Crew, Gap or Forever 21. So, if you are on any sort of shopping freeze, beware. Just lettin' ya know.

Have a great day. I will try to be more responsible for my food portions today. Hangovers suck.

Last day to enter the $30 Gallery Boutique online credit.

I always feel like I need to have saved a pair of maternity pants and use them around like holidays like Joey from friends...except less hideous.

Trying to not overeat during the holidays is futile. :P Might as well just enjoy! That peppermint drink look so tasty... please let us know if you ever find the recipe!

I always like an adult apple cider. I used to use apple cider, cinnamon sticks and Captain Morgan, but I saw a link on Pinterest that used carmel vodka (which I LOVE) so I might try that this year. Will you share any party tips? I'm hosting my Christmas party next weekend! :-)

Don't fight it. We all will be finding our most comfy sweats as soon as any get-together is over :) I need a serious detox after all the goodies go away! Can't wait to read your post on Franziska's blog today!

Ha ha ha, a food hangover is the WORST! Great interview over at Franish (love her blog!)! Thanks for the tips on the photo editing websites, and it's so great to know that I'm not alone with the "unfollows". It can get quite discouraging at times, but you are so right...being true to yourself is the most important thing!

Adored your Q & A over on Franish. Such great questions and great answers! And I hope you don't mind but I am going to steal one of the cocktail recipes that one of these lovely ladies leaves :)

I made this for a kickoff holiday party and it was awesome. The Dirty Shirley! I was careful with the grenadine because I didn't want it too sweet. I used diet 7Up and then club soda as the night went on.

My eating pants = yoga pants. The stretch makes eating that second cupcake a possibility without popping a button.

Can we somehow make those eating pants cute? If so, then we'd be in business!

Hi Shanna. My name is Ada - I have actually clicked FOLLOW on your blog a long time ago and I have seen and read most of your posts & outfits. Your syle is adorable for a young mom & wife. =) I love it. I particularly loved yesterday's Random Wednesday outfit & I linked up, too. I will make sure to comment often from now on.

I am a soon-to-be mom who could use fashion style tips from someone like you. I would love for you to stop by my page & support me by following me.

Ohh and Happy Birthday to your Husband. Also, looking forward to hearing about the Holiday cocktail you come up with. =)

Thanks a Lot, Ada. =)

Hi Shanna!
I loved your guest post! We had a Pirate's Thanksgiving this year which featured spiked apple cider. We bought a big jug of apple cider and poured it into the crock pot. Added an apple with cloves stuck into it, cinnamon sticks and brown sugar. We spiked the individual cups to our own liking and it was a big hit! Esther Norine Designs

My philosophy is any weight gained between thanksgiving and new years doesn't count. You totally get a pass! Going to check out your guest post now! :)

Gaining weight over the holidays is something I've just had to come to terms with. My hubby and I are going on a cruise so there will be no avoiding fabulous food (and drinks) for 7 days.

when you find some good extra eating pants, let me know. I need some more too!

I think that what you posted was actually very logical.
But, what about this? what if you typed a catchier post title?
I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your blog, however suppose you added a title that grabbed a person's attention?
I mean "I need some extra eating pants..." is kinda vanilla.
You might glance at Yahoo's home page and watch how they write post titles to grab people to click. You might add a related video or a pic or two to grab people interested about everything've got to say.
Just my opinion, it could make your posts a little bit more interesting.

I did my share of overeating at my job's Christmas dinner on Tuesday. I ate so much that I couldn't sleep :( I did wear some stretchy pants that worked nicely :) Have a great party and try not to stress. Spoken by the queen of stress...LOL!
