Random Wednesday #6

Cardigan: Express (similar)| Top: Lauren Conrad for Kohls (similar)| Pants: Kohls | Shoes: Target | Scarf: Can't remember (similar)

Another Wednesday means another post of some random. Here we go...

1. Can I tell you a secret? The location of these pictures is practically in my backyard. It's my new go-to place when I don't have time to actually get in my car and drive somewhere. Bonus, no public audience. All we do is prop a ladder up and climb on over the fence. Pretty convenient, wouldn't ya say?

2. I am trying to put a "slight" kabosh on my shopping for a few weeks. With Christmas around the corner, I need to start spending money on gifts and not clothes. So, everything in this outfit is SUPER old...okay, well except the shoes and pants. I am trying. I swear. I have been eyeing these oxford wedges at Target and they finally reeled me in. I have never been strong in the willpower department.

3. Let's talk about Gone Girl again. I told you last week that it wasn't doing it for me. Well, it got cray-cray real fast. I am almost finished and dying to see what happens. I think I have said to myself, out loud, "What the hell? OMG! No way!" at least a dozen times. If you haven't read it yet, it's one that will keep you up way past your nighty-night time.

4. I am sorta, kinda, maybe thinking about making Random Wednesday a weekly link-up. Did I just say that out loud? Crap. I go back and forth on the idea of hosting one. Quite frankly, I am petrified that nobody will add their little thumbnail under the 'click here to join' button. So, any of you ladies interested? At least somewhat interested? Lemme know...

5. The election...oh, the election. I refuse to talk politics here. All I will say is that I will continue to pray for our country. And what scares me most is our nation is truly divided..."United we stand, divided we fall".

Today is the LAST day to enter the clutch giveaway from Gardenhouse Boutique.
Don't miss your chance to win!

so glad i have those pants so I can copy you! I'm trying not to shop either. then I found $4.50 flats at target and a scarf. maybe I should stop walking around target. and I agree - it was sad and scary when they keep saying we are a divided nation last night.

Love the pants! I think I almost bought that pair. But, they sold out before I could get my hands on them. I had to turn to trust old Marshall's. I think people would tune in for that link up!

Can I just say that I cried last night over the election results - and they weren't happy tears.

In other news: loving your outfit! I think we may have the same yellow pants and I never thought to pair them with purple. But I love the look! I saw a scarf on Pinterest like that and adore it - and those wedges I passed at Target. PASSED. I think I need to go back. lol

this is in your backyard (ish?)....that is awesome! I love our hood but wish houses weren't on top of each other, makes it hard to take any sort of good pic. And I love your yellow skinnies. I scored my first two pairs a few weeks ago on sale at old navy and I wish I would have gotten 10 of them. They are so comfy (and cords too).

And it is so crazy to think about how divided our country is at this point, but prayer and our King will prevail.

I love the outfit! So cute! I'm not spending ANY more money on myself until after Christmas. Yikes. As for politics, Facebook was lit up last night. The nation really is divided. I just think of the last time the nation was divided. All it took was SC leaving and war was inevitable.

Do your daughters attend public school? Think of the support that their teachers will receive as a result of the election last night. Maybe that will shine a positive light for you? :)

Also, I bought those pants at Kohl's in purple and had trouble once I washed them. I now have new ankle pants!

I love that scarf - and I love the colors in it that you used in the rest of your outfit! Gorgeous! And you're so lucky you have easy access to a great spot like this one. :)

Honestly, I think you'd get a great turn out on a linkup. I tried to start one for a few weeks but literally had your (and my haha) worst nightmare happen a few times - NO ONE linked up! And you know what? It really wasn't that big of a deal. Take a chance and you might be surprised!

And also - I completely agree with you about politics. I didn't even want to vote because I felt it further supporting this I'M right and YOU'RE wrong idea (though of course I did actually vote). I'm so tired of politics being so polarizing. We all need to work together!
