Zapping the Zit Scars

I haven't done a product review in awhile, because frankly, there hasn't been one that I have fallen completely head-over-heels in love with.  I feel as though, if I am going to post about a product on the www, it MUST be one that I 100% believe in.  I don't want anyone to ever doubt my reviews, as I trust the ones I read from you ladies!!

So, the lucky winner today is the Clinque Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Remover.

I have dealt with sensitive skin and acne all of my life.  As crazy as it sounds, the worst of it has been in my adulthood.  I would get the typical teenage breakouts, but when I entered into my mid twenties, I started getting serious cystic acne.  Not fun and a complete self-esteem blow.  Some of them stuck around for so long, that I named them...let me correct myself...my friends named them.  A few of my facial friends foes, had the names Zelda and Zenith.  It was that BAD.  I would spend hundreds of dollars and shed few many tears going to the dermatologist for Cortisone shots.  Yes, I would get needles planted right into my face.  It was the ONLY thing that would get rid of the mound of pressure and nastiness.  And because I can't seem to leave the pimped out pimples alone {insert pick, squeeze, push and poke} I have been left with battle wounds.

I decided that there had to be something out there that would somewhat help with the acne scarring.  I did my online research and came across Clinque's Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Remover.  It was a little more than I wanted to spend, but after all the money I have forked over to my Dermo, I told myself that it was worth a shot.

I could not be happier with the results thus far.  It is like rubbing pure silk onto your skin.  I have been using it twice a day, morning and night, for the last 4 weeks.  It has not only resulted in fading my scars, but I feel like it has really helped clear my skin.

And it's not just for acne scarring.  It is a serum that reduces dark spots, age spots and hyperpigmentation as well. Using the serum twice a day, Clinique claims that results can be visible within as little as 4 weeks, with dramatic results after using it for a full 12 weeks. The serum is not meant to lighten your skin (i.e., make you paler); it targets the areas of skin that have more pigmentation to create an even skin tone.

The price for the small bottle is $50 and the large bottle is $70.  It sounds like a lot, but I promise, it's worth every penny.   I only wish that I would have started using this years ago.

As I continue my use, my fingers are crossed for further results.  I highly recommend giving it a try.  And again, I only post reviews of products I stand behind 100%.

I am sorry that I don't have any before/after pictures to share, you will just have to take my word for it.  Have I ever let you down before?

And as always, I would love to hear if you have any products that you love, especially ones that improve skin tone.  Next battle to conquer, the crows feet that have decided to land at the corners of my eyes!!

Cheers to zapping the wounds from Zelda and Zenith!

I have been thinking about trying this for awhile. Every time I see an add in a magazine, I wonder if it can help this old skin out. What used to be cute freckles are now just looking like age spots. You've convinced me!! I'll pick up a bottle this weekend.

I started breaking out just a few months ago. Like you, I was fine when I was a teenager. I think it was the make-up I was using, though. I've switched and have been fine ever since (knock on wood!)

I also have scars and I keep seeing ads for this. I've been wanting to try it but wasn't sure if it was worth the money. So glad you posted this review and I'm going to buy some this week!

Love hearing about a product that works! Hey, if you are interested (and have lots of time) there is a website called swagbucks. You win swagbucks by doing things like taking the daily poll, surveys, or using their search engine. The swagbucks add up and you can redeem them for prizes. I always redeem mine for amazon.com gift cards. It takes a long time (or it can take little if you spend all day on the SB website) but it can be worth it. There are no catches, trust me! I redid my boys whole bathroom and the total cost was close to $300 but I did it for free because I ordered stuff from amazon after I redeemed my swagbucks. They do specials like the other day I ordered my mom flowers for her birthday from Pro flowers.com and I got 750 swagbucks for it. So I am getting ready to cash in my SBs and order some new ballet shoes. Anyway, my point was, in the time you use up the product, you could earn enough SBs to get it for free on amazon.

Oh this is awesome, I think I might give this a try. I'm always scared to try new products on my face because my skin can be pretty sensitive and fickle to new things, but I've always liked Clinique so this might be worth it!

So this really is like a miracle in a bottle, huh? I have seen ads and commericals, but I figured it was too good to be true. I would pay the high price tag for it though, I had a TON of acne scarring. There is nothing worse than finalyl achieving somewhat clear skin, but still having all the spots to prove you never used too. SO frusting, to say the least. Thanks for the review dear, you didn't let me down with Xen-Tan, so I hope this is just as great :)

This is great to know. I too had the normal teenage acne, but nothing bad at all, and then all of a sudden at about 20 or 21, I broke out like crazy on my chin and around my mouth. And yes, I now have scars. They're not insanely noticeable, but I notice them and it bothers me. I'll definitely have to try this out! Thanks for sharing!

I always wondered how this product works. I have some hyperpigmentation from some hormone issues in my 20s. My dermatologist prescribed some treatments with hydroquinone. I am not 100% sure they have helped. I am actually getting my first facialpeel next week in the hopes it will help!

I'm glad you posted this because I have a few scars that need some disappearing to do. It's crazy how I never had acne as a teen or child but as an adult, it's popped up often. Blech :/
