Class with a Little Purrrr - Work Day Outfit

I got some great feedback on my red skinny jeans outfit post yesterday, so I figured I would give  another one a whirl.  Let me know what you think.

This is what I call a "day at the office" look.  I took a few simple, staple, solid colored items and gave it some character with inexpensive accessories.   I feel like everything I am wearing is timeless and can be pieces that remain in your closet for years to come. You can recreate this ENTIRE look for $200 or less.  Each piece listed below is less than $42. 

My philosophy..."You don't have to spend a lot of money to look like you did." 

All you need is a couple of statement items and you are all set.  As most of my girlfriends know, I love a little (okay, a lot of) leopard.  But as you can see, you don't have to go crazy with it.  A little here and there little will go a long way.

Loving My Red Skinny Jeans

I finally did it...I bought a pair of red skinny jeans.  I have been eyeing them since last Fall and just read in my US Weekly that bold colored jeans are here to stay for a little while longer.  So, I thought, why not, plus I scored them on sale at Old Navy for $31.00.  The fab thing about red skinny jeans is that you can dress them up or down...wear them to work or for a night on the town!

(Note: If you are frightened of skinny jeans, there are some great regular fit red jeans out there too!)

I took a few photos wearing them out to a new wine bar that just opened in my hometown of Round Rock, Texas.  It's called Krave and it is fantastic...we felt like we were in downtown Austin.  Great vibe, laid back atmosphere and lots of wine to choose from.  If you are in the area, check it out - www.kravewinebar.com.

Have You Joined the Instagram World?

You are probably wondering, what?  I thought this was a fashion and beauty blog.  Why am I reading about an iPhone photo app?  Well, if you haven't joined the Instagram world, you will thank me after you read this.  Even though 15 million people use Instagram, I feel like many of my family and friends aren't using this fun and free iPhone app.  For all you Android users, they are working on an app for your phone as we speak.

Some folks still don't know exactly what Instagram is, so I thought I wold share a little bit about the app.  It is FREE and Apple awarded it as "App of the Year" in December 2011.  Take a picture with your phone, choose a retro-like filter and share it on Facebook or Twitter.  Or you can save it to your iPhone, iPad or iTouch.  You can invite friends to follow you, follow others and browse pictures by searching key hash tag words and phrases.  It is quite addictive and so much fun.  Take a look at some of my personal Instagram pics.
