Oversized Outerwear - Trends to Try

With the crazy cold temps we have been experiencing earlier in the season than normal, I have been adding over sized coats and hats to my style mix more frequently. There is just something about a warm cardigan sweater, layered under a leopard utility jacket with a cozy knit beanie and scarf that gets me excited and ready to face the winter months in style.

Sosie Leopard Jacket c/o // Forever 21 Cardigan Sweater (similar) // Old Navy Dress // Forever 21 Boots (similar here and here)// Phillip Lim x Target Bag (similar here and here) // ASSETS Tights // Target Scarf (similar here) // Banana Republic Beanie (similar here and here)  // H&M Sunglasses (similar here) // Nordstrom Wrap Bracelet c/o // Lilac Bijoux Crown Ring

I picked up this olive shift dress from Old Navy during Black Friday fully aware that I wanted to pair it with this leopard jacket from Sosie. At the last minute, I added an additional layer to the mix with an old trusty cardigan sweater from Forever 21. I haven't been wearing many dresses as of late because of the weather, but was pleasantly surprised how warm I stayed with the ASSETS tights I picked up at Target. They are from Sarah Blakely, the master mind behind Spanx. They are thick, don't slide down and really do nip, tuck and lift in all the right places. Plus, they are more affordable than than the actual Spanx version, only $18. Money well spent.

Okay, back on track.

We are into the third week for the Kotex® "Try It For Yourself" style contest where one lucky lady is going to win a trip for two to new York City. All you have to do is share your over sized outerwear style for a chance to be entered. The prize package also includes a shopping spree, hair, make up and an editorial on Glam.com.

Upload your picture to Glam's Facebook page for a chance to win. Each week the Glam editorial team will pick the best photo and the winner will receive a $100 AMEX gift card, plus be eligible for the grand prize fashion trip to New York with a friend.

Shouldn't you decide what works for yourself? At Kotex®, we believe in the power of choices. That's why we offer a full lineup of tampons, pads and pantiliners. But you never know what works best until you try it. So, each week, we are challenging you to try a new trend - and flaunt your new look!
