Birchbox, Boo on You

My last Birchbox post was "Birchbox Brag", this month it's "Birchbox, Boo on You".  If you have never heard of Birchbox, I can give you a quick run down here.

I saw several posts of what other friends got before mine came in the mail and everything was worth well over $10 (the Birchbox monthly subscription).  I just knew I was going to get the Essie nail polish or the Tarte Lip Stain or the Stila eyeshadow or even the fun little twist band...but NOPE!  Not me...not even one of those beauties were tucked in my box.  I kept digging after I opened everything, in hopes of finding at least one of those sought after products hiding in my little brown box.

I know, I must sound like an ungrateful brat, but gee-whiz Birchbox, you teased me with all of the other fab goodies my friends got.  Couldn't I have at least just gotten one of them?  Maybe they got my profile mixed up with someone elses.

So here is what was in my box this month...don't be jealous!

Harvey Prince Ageless perfume sample.  This smells kind of nice, but I get REALLY
bad headaches from perfume.  I can only use lotion and body sprays.

This color is okay, but I would have MUCH rather had an Essie brand.  Essie gave out two different colors this month.  I have never heard of this brand before.  Have you?

This is probably my favorite sample in my box because the name Lulu Orangics is the nickname we have given my youngest daughter (Lulu, not Orangics).
And two, I am always looking to try new dry shampoos because my hair is SUPER oily and I don't like to wash and dry it every day.

I don't really drink much tea...maybe I will add a little liquor to it for a Spring-time cocktail.
What do you suggest I mix it with?

These could come in handy, but I typically just carry a bottle of sunscreen with me to the pool.  I
got two packs of these which only contain one towel in each packet.

One Love Organics - Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm
I am picky about what I put on my face because I have super sensitive skin.  So, if you want this, send me your address and I will drop it in the mail for you!

So, there you go, I told you not to be jealous!  However, I am jealous of those of you that got one of the Essie nail polishes or the Tarte Lip Stain.  I am not giving up on you yet, Birchbox.  I know you will make it up to me next month!

Did you like what you got this month?

Cheers to getting fun stuff in the mail for $10 a month, even if this month kind of sucked.

Today I am linking up with Fabulous but Evil
Check out what some of the other ladies got this month.

I was a little sad I didn't get that hair powder to try... I live for dry shampoo because I can't wash everyday. Have you tried it? Is it worth paying $30 for the big bottle?

I got the same nail polish brand, but in a different color. I'm planning on painting my toes next weekend, so we'll see. I LOVE those teas...so I'll take them off your hands if you want to. My favorite thing was the Jouer Luminizing Moisture tint. Really light feel, and leaves a pretty finish. Hopefully this is the end of your "bad box" streak. See you Wednesday!!

I'm the opposite...my birch box this month was great!! I look forward to getting it every month.

I have a subscription to My Glam and I was a little disappointed in my bag this month. I didn't get any make up products. I am thinking of switching to Birch Box, but I am fearful of getting on a bad streak like some have.
I use Bed Head dry shampoo and I love it.

I was a member of Birchbox for 2 whole months before I canceled my subscription. I was not thrilled with any of my products. Some months I see some boxes and I'm like "I gotta sign back up!" This is not one of those times. Bummer. :(

Awww you didn't get the Teen Vogue box! Did you request it? That's where all the awesome products were this month!

I would have rather gotten the Essie polish too, they are my favorites! Although that color is pretty.

That nail polish color is pretty, but I would have been bummed too if I didn't get Essie. Their nail polish is amazing! Sorry you were disappointed this month :( Hopefully next month will be better!

That's too bad - you would think they would start you off with a great box your first month so you're not inclined to cancel.

I looked up the nail polish brand and it's $8 a bottle - which is around the same price. Might be a good chance to try a new polish that might be even better than Essie!

I haven't signed up for any of those services because it seems they are all hit or miss. I'd rather just spend my money on products I know I'll love! Hope you get some better stuff from them next month!

I was totally disappointed in my March box too. I opted to get the Teen Vogue box but besides the Essie polish, I hated everything else.

I would love your One Love BB cream, maybe we can work out a swap for some of my Teen V products?

I received Birchbox this month for the first time. I too received the color club nail polish in "peace out purple". I loved the color, but had never heard of the brand before. I also received the tea samples...Hopefully next month's box will be fab!

I just bought my first month of Birchbox and I don't know for sure what I think. I got one of the same nail polish that you got, but in a different color. I applyed two coats of nail polish and it still didn't cover very well:( Kinda disappointed! I hope next month will have some good options:)

I wish I had gone the teen vogue route, but I must have missed the email. I'm sorry that you were disappointed with your birchbox this month. Maybe next months will knock you off your feet. :)

Btw, love the nickname lulu.

Happy Monday!!

The Tarte lip tint and essie nail polish were in the box for those who opted for the Teen Vogue Birchbox. If you are unhappy then change your beauty profile.

I got my first birchbox a few weeks ago... I'm anxious for my second one, because the first was the starter kit. I would LOVE a new essie nail polish and any tarte products... i have high hopes for the next box!

I like the nail polish color you have. I got that brand, too..in a different color. I Love it :)
That waterless balm stuff...I've been too chicken to try, too. LOL. I don't get it?

I got the same nail polish brand but in a different color. I like your color better though, lol. The one good thing is the polish covers pretty well. I also got the teas. I got a tinted moisturizer that I liked and a hair oil I haven't tried yet. Not super excited about the box but not super upset either. Just a little jealous of the Teen Vogue box.
