You may or may not already know that it doesn't rain too often in Austin, Texas. Droughts, burn bans and low lake levels are the norm around here, especially during the summer months. So adding a pair of women's rain boots to my closet hasn't really been high on my purchase list. Has owning a fun pair been on my mind? Of course, especially when I am a blogger who reads style blogs. I have seen them styled in the cutest ways and they are definitely something that can be worn year round...when it rains of course. 

I was beyond thrilled when Joules sent me the yellow women's rain boots I am wearing today. Ya'll these are my very first pair....gasp....I know.  It was tough choosing from all the fun colors, styles  and designs that they have available, but the yellow ones kept calling my name.

So, when it actually rained here this week, you bet your boots that I slipped these babies on as soon I rolled out of bed. For me, rain boot moments don't come around very often, so I took full advantage.

Random Wednesday #38 - A Juicy Version

The minute I laid eyes on these Juicy banana leaf shorts, I knew that I had to find a replica of something less expensive. I saw them featured on a few celebs in US Weekly, on other style blogs and at a Kendra Scott event. I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on one pair of shorts. 

I was in Target the other day, I know shocker, and randomly came across the ones I am wearing in this post. The print immediately made me think of the sought after Juicy ones that I couldn't take my mind of off. I will not lie to you, I did a small little dance as I swiped them off the rack and I whisked them away to the dressing room. I am easily amused. 

Yes, I know that these are not an exact dupe of the ones I was drooling over, but they sure come close. In my opinion, they are just as dazzling and for a sweeter price tag. I looked online and couldn't find them, but they are in Target stores and the Mossimo brand.

I do believe that I may have found the perfect pair of printed shorts for less than $20. I plan on wearing these bad boys as much as possible this summer. They can easily be jazzed up with a dressy top and heels or could be thrown on over a swimsuit for the beach. I am all about versatility.
