I am already in Summer mode and it's only April. The temps here in Texas are heating up. In my mind, sunny and 85 degree weather correlates to Summer; even though it's still a couple months away. I feel like the kids and even a few teachers have already checked out from school. The days are longer, outside hours are extended, homework is lighter and each week has gotten more carefree. I am not complaining one bit because I live for this is the time of year.
Ahem, the very reason for my absence yesterday. We spent a full weekend, starting on Friday, with friends and family. I might have extended the weekend past Sunday to embrace the "so called" Summer mode. I have a feeling this won't be the last time my posts are sporadic. After all, enjoying the people and times presently in front of you are the most important.
Just so you know, the closer we get to Summer the more you will be seeing laid back, casual styles. I wanted to get another wear out of this floral blouse before sleeveless tops become my only option. I styled it with colored denim a few months back on Instagram, but loved it just as much with my Old Navy white denim shorts. It was an easy and comfortable style for the weekend.
I am still sticking to my guns by saying that these gold metallic slider sandals have hands down been my most FAVORITE purchase for Spring. I literally wear them every single day...whether I slide them on to take out the dogs, check the mail or actually leave my neighborhood for a day of volunteering, shopping, lunching or spending time with family & friends.
