Botanical Garden

A couple of weekends ago I casually passed by a girl wearing a pair of banana leaf botanical pants. I literally stopped her in her tracks and complimented on how much I loved her outfit. Ever since then, I have been on an online treasure hunt to try and find a similar pair, ones that were affordable and fit my style. After several days of searching and not being able to get the mental picture of her adorable outfit out of my mind, I think I finally found what I've been daydreaming about. How sad is it to daydream about botanical inspired clothes rather than a botanical style vacation?

I came upon a pair from Dorothy Perkins that foot the bill. Before I pull the trigger, I want to be sure that I can foresee at least three ways to wear said pants. After spending way too many hours creating outfits in my head and on my computer, I think talked myself into them. Not shown, a vintage white tee and flip flops that are worn on an imaginary seaside getaway.

Maybe I am just longing for school to be out and summer to be in full swing, but right at this moment I am swayed by any and all styles that encompass exotic tropics with bright, vibrant green leaves.

Daydreaming all over again and again and again.

Below are a few other tropical prints and patterns that caught my eye as well. Let's all daydream together.

these are fabulous! i love them with the chambray, though I feel like that'd be one of the only ways I'd actually wear these, which doesn't motivate me to run out and buy them. i'm sure you could do better with styling though!!!

I love the idea of creating a few outfits for a piece before you buy it! Especially for an item of clothing that would not be considered a classic wardrobe staple. I love these pants! Especially with the orange top! And I hope you get to go to the beach this summer! susan

Shanna - If you stopped me and complimented my outfit, I.WOULD.DIE! Lol!! These pants are awesome. I am not sure I could pull them off - but I know that as soon as I see you wearing them, I will begin the hunt for some too. I love the 3 different styling options. I would never have thought to pair these pants with an orange or chambray shirt. Thanks for opening my style options in the fashion world - I have never been so inspired to taking risks and trying new things with clothes before. Happy Thursday.
