Optical Illusion

GET THE LOOK
c/o Sass My Style Maxi // c/o Ooh Baby Designs Scarf // Forever 21 Sandals (option) (option) // Target Cross Body (option) (option) // Bauble Bar Necklace (option) (option) // c/o T+J Designs Watch // Stella & Dot Bracelet (option) // Lily & Laura Bracelet

Wondering about the title of this post? Let me explain.

So, the top portion of this dress is actually a scarf. Yes, a scarf. An infinity one from Ooh Baby Designs to be exact.

If you live in Texas, you know it's scorching hot right about now, so scarves around my neck are a no go, but around my bust, why not?

All I did was wrap this pretty printed scarf twice around my neck, bring it down a few inches and voila, an optical illusion added to this maxi dress from Sass My Style. Talk about stretching your wardrobe....or maybe it's getting creative with style. Whatever you want to call it, it's fun. Even though I may not have been blessed with the upper portion of my body, this scarf has enough length to wrap around any size.

While we are on the subject of Ooh Baby Designs, they have the cutest scarves and totes. Totes? Nope, I am not talking about the slang being thrown around these days, but actual totes, ones that you can carry stuff in. I own this one and it has already gotten some serious use this summer. It's perfect for packing snacks at the pool or for work day lunches. Ooh Baby Designs has an array of sizes whether you need something for the beach, a carry on for air travel or something smaller for the kiddos; you will discover one you can't live without.

So, the question is...What optical illusion have you created lately? Fashion related or not.

Shanna

I saw the part that said "scarf" and scrolled back up to see where the scarf was! Clever idea and it looks really cute! Probably wouldn't look that great on me, but I love the look on you!

That looks great! I'm not blessed either unfortunately I always struggle to keep strapless tops up, maybe this will work better for me as you can tighten it as much as you want! Definitely going to try this, thank you :) x
