No road trip or packing up the house

Finally! A weekend at "home".
It felt so good not to pack up our entire house for a road trip or
have any kind of schedule this weekend.
We went with the flow, squeezed in some much needed "momma time",
got a ton accomplished and caught up on some much needed rest.

THURSDAY

One
I finally got this journal/notebook from Target.
I smile every time I look at the cover.
Thanks, Chris, for posting it on Instagram.

Two & Three
I met up with some of my most favorite ladies on
the planet for a few drinky-poos and some sushi.
That gorgeous lady on the bottom left just had her first baby about
a month ago and this was her first night out since he was born.

FRIDAY

Four
Building forts at the casa.
I just couldn't tell them "NO."

Five
I finally found some flats that don't give me blisters.
I scored them for $12.00 at DSW.
BTW, thanks for all the tips on Friday.
You ladies never cease to amaze me
with your suggestions and advice.

Six
No shame in this picture!
This is my closet that got an overhaul and
massive clean up this weekend.
I feel like a weight has been lifted.

Seven
My friend Courtney sent this to me.
Best.Thing.Ever.
This not only goes for UT fans,
but for those so-called "Aggies" as well.
The truth hurts, people.

SATURDAY

Eight & Nine
It was TAX FREE weekend in Texas.
What else can I say??

Ten
Chips, salsa, queso, beer and live music...yes, please.

Eleven
It's official! Football season is in full swing.
Let's show em' how it's done HOUSTON!!

Twleve
Lame, I know, but I scrubbed all my suede shoes while watching the game.
This cleaning set is the BOMB for removing spots off your suede shoes.
Try it.

SUNDAY

Thirteen
Getting my hair did.
My girl comes to MY HOUSE!
How convenient is that business?

Fourteen
After the "did".
Love you, Happy!
Yes, that is her name...Happy!
If you live in Austin, I can send you her info.

Fifteen
What I wore to church. More on this tomorrow.

So, how was your weekend? Eventful or laid back?

Your hair looks darling and this suede cleaning set you speak of... I gotta get my hands on it! I purposely don't buy suede shoes cuz I hate when they get all gross. And with Wisconsin winters, it's hard not to get them gross. YAY for football season thoughhhhhhhh!! :)

Love a laid back weekend. My 3 year old went to spend the weekend with his Nana so we just had the baby all weekend. We watched SO much tv and ate so much junk food. It was fun.

You are too cute for words. Srsly.

You know every time I read your blog all I think about is how we had Ms. Ballard for History in the 10th grade and you sat behind me... and then I think about how old I am. haha!

That is so cool that your hair person comes to your house! Talk about convenient! You did so much on your weekend at home! To me that would mean sitting my butt on the couch eating pizza and watching movies, haha. :)

It looks like you took full advantage of tax-free weekend. Nice work :) And your hairdresser comes to your house? Talk about service. Geez! And when you posted the pic on Instagram of the girls making the fort, it took me right back to my childhood. Why is that SO much fun to do when you're a kid?! So funny. Looks like they had a good time :)

Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend. We also, finally, didn't have to go anywhere and just stayed home and relaxed. Did some long awaited house projects, watched movies, went out to dinner... it was perfect. I love that your hair dresser's name is Happy and that she comes over... what! Awesome.

Okay... I always love your weekend recaps... and my favorite part BY FAR was the fort making... that was my FAVORITE thing to do when I was little :) I'd spend the WHOLE weekend in forts that my sister and I would make. They were totally bad a**!
