Stage of Style

Today's style encompasses a few of my Black Friday and Cyber Monday purchases. I picked up this J.Crew Factory plaid flannel (sold out online), cognac Sole Society satchel and a pair of green Hunter Boots all on major sale. I didn't need any of them, but REALLY wanted all three, and well, the deals sucked me. I justified the boots as being a necessity for when we go to Tahoe in a few weeks. I have been looking high and low for a larger cognac bag and a girl can never have too many plaid flannel shirts. Right? Right!

I feel as though my style this season hasn't been very eclectic or too creative. If you have been reading the last few weeks you have mostly seen a plethora of plaid, sprinkles of leopard, boots tall and short, skinny denim almost everyday, snuggly scarves and simple black and white combos.

This season gives us a perfect excuse to go bold, be bright, embrace metallics, wear fancy dresses, tights, heels and as many sequins as we can. I did that last year, but this year, not so much. I just want to be comfortable, show you ladies what a woman my age with my lifestyle wears on a typical day. My full intention was to post more holiday party outfit ideas, wear more dresses and skirts, style dressier pieces and add more sparkle. At the end of the day, these outfit are me and my seasonal stage of style.

I want to apologize for not posting more of a variety, but I can't bring myself to do it. As the old saying goes, "What you see is what you get". This is me.

My fingers are crossed that I have inspired you to take similar pieces from your closet, possibly add a few more staples and that I can help you create looks that you feel comfortable in as well. At the end of the day, my main goal of blogging is for you to keep coming back and always looking forward to reading what's next.

P.S. In case you were wondering, I chopped my hair. I came sooooo close to getting a shorter bob, but couldn't do it. Maybe next time. Baby steps, but I definitely needed a change. :)

P.P.S. I just added Disqus for commenting. Praying I did it right! Hopefully this will alleviate the issues I had with Blogger and allow me to be more responsive to questions and comments you may have. PLEASE, PLEASE, let me know if you have any trouble leaving a comment. Thanks!
