Summer Schedule

What a weekend! Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday over the last few days. I am sorry I was MIA with emails, comments and on social media, but we have been non-stop over the last few days. I wanted to unplug a little to enjoy the last day of school with my kids, hang out with family and friends, enjoy the first days of summer break and come to terms with turning another year older. Okay, kidding about that last one...well, sort of. This birthday is one that will go down as my most special because our niece was born. I have a birthday buddy!! Talk about the greatest gift of all. I can't wait to meet and to share birthdays with her for the rest of my days.

Lauren Conrad for Kohl's Tunic (option here and here) // Mossimo Denim Shorts // Forever 21 Sandals (option here and here) // River Island Tote c/o // Kendra Scott Necklace (option here) // Forever 21 Sunglasses (option here) // Micheal Kors Watch c/o The Jeweler's Wife // Ettika Bracelet c/o

My girls and I plan to spend this first week of being out of school adjusting. Me adjusting to them being home all day and them adjusting to not being entertained every single moment during the day. It's a balancing act; a trying one at times. I am looking forward to having them home and spending one-on-one time together over the next few months. I have stressed about how I was going to keep up my blog and still give them the attention that they deserve. After going back and forth, I have decided that during their summer break, I am going to post three days a week instead of five.

Some weeks might be more, but you can definitely count on me being here Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I don't want to look back and regret missing out on this stage in their lives. Right now they think I am cool, but the teenage years will come quickly and I won't be near as impressive. I am going to take advantage of this time in our lives and soak it all in...the sunshine included.

So, I will see you ladies on Wednesday!

Great sandals! It is definitely important to spend time with the little ones before they are no longer interested. Enjoy the sunshine!

Although I will miss your daily posts, I think the best thing you can do is to spend time with your girls. It goes way too fast Shanna! This is a great casual look. I really love Lauren Conrads pieces and this bag has been on my wish list for a while! Have a great week! Susan

I'm going to have to replicate that look and see if I can get the tunic here in the UK :) Oh goodness, school break up already? In the UK the kids break up usually around the 18th of July! That's a long summer break, but hope you enjoy x

Well happy late birthday! I don't blame you for wanting to be a little unplugged. Sometimes that is just what one needs!

First of all, I love this outfit - those sandals are so cute! My kids still have 2 weeks of school left, but we've been talking about the same thing - since we both work from home and still need to do our jobs, it's going to be really tricky this summer!

Happy belated birthday beautiful! I love everything about this outfit. So easy breezy and stylish. Sometimes life gets in the way of blogging, there are times I have posted nothing or have dropped down to once a week, but I try to maintain some consistency. Enjoy the time with your daughters. Blogging three days a week will make your life a little easier to navigate.

Glad you had a wonderful birthday. Know you will enjoy the time with the kiddos. My hubby's is next week and I am so struggling with what to do for him.

Total week of adjustments! This weekend was wild for us and I just was "scared" of a summer with two kids all day every day. But I, like you, don't want to miss out on the good stuff with my girls so I vowed to not take things too seriously and just enjoy. Love this outfit too by the way...it's very cool.

Love that turquoise necklace! I think it's really understandable that you're going to blog a little less in the summer so you have more time to spend with your girls :)

This outfit may be my favorite of yours yet - it's exactly something that I would (and do) wear during the summer. Those LC Lauren Conrad tunics are some of my favorite tops - easy, breezy and beautiful!

I find it's easier to have summer break as the kids get older. I am not a toddler mom. There are moms out there that are and the more power to them, but I am enjoying the time I have now more. Also if we go anywhere, I don't have to bring the diaper bag, sippy cups, snacks, etc. Enjoy your summer. I know that we will.

Enjoy your summer break!! I have been considering going down to only 4 days a week. During the winter I don't mind spending every night on my laptop, but while the weather is warm I want to enjoy it and not be stuck behind a screen!

And I love that blouse! Currently trying to build a work wardrobe in two weeks - eek :)

You juts gave me an epiphany with cutting down your Summer posting schedule, what a brilliant idea! I have been struggling with figuring out how to fit it all in after next week and this solves it all. I may be following in your footsteps, my (brilliant) friend! Also, that BAG!

Happy (belated) Birthday and yay for having a birthday buddy! A boy I went to preschool with has the same birthday as me and we still email each other every year on our birthdays to wish each other a happy day :) I think that is so good of you to cut back on posting in order to spend more time with your girls. They will cherish the memories you make over the summer!
