Random Wednesday #3

Blazer: Lauren Conrad for Kohls | Top: Express | Jeans: Kohls | Flats, Bag (Similar), Necklace, Rings & Bracelets: Forever 21

Another round of randomness for you today.

1. Isn't it funny how a simple pair of shoes can complete an entire outfit?  That's exactly how I feel about these puppies here. They were the last pair and in my size. Complete fate, I tell you. They are soooooo comfortable. No blistered heels! And, they have sweat proof insoles that actually work. Gross, I know, but so ah-mazing!

2. Ross and I have been invited to two Halloween costume parties and I have no clue on what we should wear. I WANT to be the "matchy-match" couple. I need ideas. Please! I am begging!! I would go to Pinterest, but everyone will be wearing Pinsperations this year. It is starting to stress me out a little bit. If you give me an idea and we go with it as our costume, I will send you a BIG OL' prize!!! Promise!

3. Why is that we pay for a pest control service and now see more bugs in our house than we ever have before? It makes no freaking sense. Are they coming and spraying some sort of chemical that attracts bugs so we have to keep using them. Sorry, pest people, your game isn't fooling me. I am calling you this week and it isn't going to be pretty. I came two toes away from stepping on a scorpion in my bathroom. What the hay!?

4. Why am I craving nothing BUT Mexican food these days? And no, people, I AM NOT PREGNANT! But, I swear to you, all I want are homemade flour tortillas, queso, beans, rice, fajita chicken, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole, chips, enchiladas and creamy jalapeno ranch. It's just not right. In the past seven days, I have had Mexican food on six occasions, Taco Bell being two of those. Why can't I crave something that is actually good for me like vegetables or fruit?

Any random thoughts you care to share? Let's chat.

I seriously get on Mexican food kicks all the time!

I LOVE LC blazers...and you sure do know how to rock them.

As for Halloween costumes, I'm the worst when it comes to thinking up good ones. Maybe go for a movie couple??! I'll think on it.

I reaaaaally heart those shoes.

Mexican food makes the world go round.

Annnnnd........you could be Sonny and Cher.........or the Spartan cheerleaders from SNL.

I LOVE those shoes! and under 17.00?! DEAL!

I've always like the "kissing booth idea"

he dresses up as a kissing booth, you get all adorable, wear whatever you want, and just make sure to have BRIGHT lipstick, plus whats better than kissing your husband all night, and it's totally classy PDA:)

Love the LC jacket! Great outfit all together. If I'm on the fence about a purchase and then realize that the item is the only one in my size left I take it as fate and buy it. Always.

Those flats are amazing! Are they comfortable?

And now I have guacamole in my head. Thanks!

You guys should totally be Honey Boo Boo and Sugar Bear. You can dress in a pink tutu with a crown and yell "Dolla make me Holla!" and he can act like a huge redneck and mumble words all night. Awesome.

Sarah said...

I agree with Alison above, HBB would be awesome!!

I crave Mexican at all moments of the day. It's just so effin good!!

The black and white is so classic and could that necklace BE any more fabulous!? I always stress out about costumes, too! Last year we went as Bob Ross and a "happy little tree" - it was a little obscure for some people, but those that got it REALLY got it. This year I think we're going as Beetlejuice and Lydia from the wedding scene, and I'm on the hunt for a huge, red tulle ballgown. Can't wait to hear what you guys decide!

Niki {Glossy Blonde} said...

I don't know what we're going to be yet either! I can't come up with any great ideas - although Peg and Al Bundy has crossed my mind!

Last year my friend and I made cupcake costumes (they were pretty amazing) - tutorial coming soon on the blog, then we made an apron for her boyfriend that said Stud Muffin. We won best costume at the party we went to and EVERYONE wanted pictures with us, the cupcake costumes are adorable! If you want some pics I can email to you before I post it on my blog :)

Shanna, I love your style more and more, every day. So jealous of your closet.

A few years ago, I dressed up as a Busch Light can of beer and Zac was a can coozie. It was a toally hit & all handmade. Super classy, I know :)

This year I am either thinking Audrey Hepburn, a peacock, or a "sexy" snowman. Totally random, I'm aware!

Tiffany said...

I would mexican food every day of my life if I could. I mean I can, its just my thighs are already big enough.

I hear ya on the sweat-proof insoles. Nothing is worse than kicking your shoes off and the insole coming with it!

#3...same thing happens at my apartment. I think the bugs are running away from what they sprayed maybe. That's my theory. But my apartment never has bugs until they come spray. Pointless! and #4 if you were craving fruit then you'd probably be pregnant, so you're good, lol

I completely agree with you those shoes do complete your outfit! They are the star of this outfit. I love them:)

Yikes a scorpion:-0 That would be a little scary! I can't say that I've had that in my house....but then again I live in Iowa..lol! Hopefully, you get it taken care of.

Lindsay said...

Those shoes are perfect for that outfit!

I am terrible on choosing Halloween costumes! Jeremy used to be a pilot, so one year he was a pilot and I was a flight attendant. Not real creative!

tara said...

um. those shoes are aaaamazing!!

Those flats are crazy cute!

I've always wanted to be Margot & Richie Tenenbaum for Halloween with a boy, but I suppose that's pretty obscure haha.

Some cute mainstream couples costumes? Dentist & tooth fairy, Wilma & Fred Flinstone... I actually once saw a girl dressed as a bumblebee and her boy as a flower - silly but cute! Hahhaa.

Okay, can I just comment on every part of your post :)
1. I LOVE your outfit and those shoes are fabulous!
2. I don't dress up much for Halloween and have zero ideas :( I agree, don't choose off Pinterest this year though.
3. I hate scorpions, they scare me!! We have the house sprayed quarterly as well, make sure they are spraying outside and in!
4. You know how much I love Mexican food as well!! I think that it is perfectly okay to love it and eat it several times a day, haha!!

So not gonna lie, I'm not one to wear white after Labor Day butttttt I am loving this outfit. Even tho it's a white blazer I still get a fall feel to this look. It's probably because of all the black & the perfect accessories. I love the shoes. They're fabulous!!

My boyfriend and I went as Thing 1 and Thing 2. We both wore all red (I wore a tutu to make it cuter) and I put my hair in a top-knot and sprayed it blue with glitter, and sprayed my boyfriends hair blue too. I also painted the shirts so they said "Thing 1 and Thing 2"
