Random Wednesday #3

Blazer: Lauren Conrad for Kohls | Top: Express | Jeans: Kohls | Flats, Bag (Similar), Necklace, Rings & Bracelets: Forever 21

Another round of randomness for you today.

1. Isn't it funny how a simple pair of shoes can complete an entire outfit?  That's exactly how I feel about these puppies here. They were the last pair and in my size. Complete fate, I tell you. They are soooooo comfortable. No blistered heels! And, they have sweat proof insoles that actually work. Gross, I know, but so ah-mazing!

2. Ross and I have been invited to two Halloween costume parties and I have no clue on what we should wear. I WANT to be the "matchy-match" couple. I need ideas. Please! I am begging!! I would go to Pinterest, but everyone will be wearing Pinsperations this year. It is starting to stress me out a little bit. If you give me an idea and we go with it as our costume, I will send you a BIG OL' prize!!! Promise!

3. Why is that we pay for a pest control service and now see more bugs in our house than we ever have before? It makes no freaking sense. Are they coming and spraying some sort of chemical that attracts bugs so we have to keep using them. Sorry, pest people, your game isn't fooling me. I am calling you this week and it isn't going to be pretty. I came two toes away from stepping on a scorpion in my bathroom. What the hay!?

4. Why am I craving nothing BUT Mexican food these days? And no, people, I AM NOT PREGNANT! But, I swear to you, all I want are homemade flour tortillas, queso, beans, rice, fajita chicken, quesadillas, tacos, guacamole, chips, enchiladas and creamy jalapeno ranch. It's just not right. In the past seven days, I have had Mexican food on six occasions, Taco Bell being two of those. Why can't I crave something that is actually good for me like vegetables or fruit?

Any random thoughts you care to share? Let's chat.

Giveaway from May Books

Thanks to the blogging world, I stumbled upon this amazing personalized notebook company called May Books. I might be tardy to the party, but better late than never. And if you are like me, running a tad bit behind, then you have come to the right place.

May Books has been featured on the Today Show, in People Style Watch and tons of other media. How in the heck did I miss this? Maybe it's because I am not the best planner on the planet. I am kind of a fly by the seat of pants kind of girl. Well, that's all changed now, thanks to May Books.

And now, you can be on time, keep all your shizz straight, have your meals in order, know when your unborn child will make their appearance, keep your wedding details in check and have no excuses for missing an appointment.

There are so many patterns and designs you can choose from. Not so good for indecisive people like myself, but I like options. Don't you?

May Books thought of it all:
Monthly Agenda - Check
Meal Planner - Check
Wedding Diary - Check
Bump in the Belly - Check
New Baby Diary - Check
Gift Idea - Check
Personal Ramble Journal- Check

Is your head spinning yet? Yep, I thought so!

Don't fret my friends, the process is actually quite simple.

Choose the pattern.
Pick the colors.
Play with the monogram.
Decide on the pages.
Done, Done, Done and Done.
All for $20 or less!

I needed some major organization in my life, so I chose the monthly/weekly agenda book. It doesn't start until January 2013, so I have a few more months of slacking. I am seriously in love. It's so sleek, slim, durable and ADORABLE!!! Way better than I expected. It was packaged super fun too. These notebooks will definitely be under the tree this year; a few more for me and a few for them.

Okay, so now it's your turn to get your own a monogrammed notebook from May Books! The more you enter, the better your odds. It's just like playing the lottery.

Good luck!

Wedding Weekend

Dress: Kohl's | Belt: Similar (here) | Shoes: Payless | Clutch, Bracelet & Rings: Forever 21

I wore this to the wedding we attended on Saturday back in Houston (Santa Fe to be exact). Those of you that live in this area know the weather was straight up rainy and nasty allllll day.  And with rain comes the humidity times 100. Thus, the hair that you see in these photos. I have no idea why I even attempted to put one ounce of hairspray in my hair. My the end of the night it was a sticky, don't even think about touching it mess. But, you know what? Nobody cared. We were too busy doing the Wobble and breaking out our Apple Bottom Jeans.

Friday night was the rehearsal dinner. And any true Texan serves BBQ or Mexican food for dinner. Thank God they decided on the latter. You guys know how much Momma loves her margs and Mexican food. That handsome man and gorgeous blonde are the bride and groom.  And that picture on the bottom left just proves that we don't play when it comes to fajitas, chips, salsa and tequila flavored drinks. Can you say hot mess of a table? Okay, go ahead you can say it...we are PIGS!

Like I said on Friday, the wedding reception was held a winery and the rain and humidity couldn't stop our parade. We had our fair share of the winery's homemade goodness, throw your back out dance moves, catching up with old friends, Houston humidity and best of all witnessing two amazing people start their lives together. Conratulations, Trey and Whitney! You and your families know how to throw one heck of a celebration. I would bet my bank account that half the guests hated themselves Sunday morning. I will say I was not one of them...I actually, somewhat, behaved myself for once. I think I was still recovering from the margs on Friday.

So what were you crazy kids up to this weekend? I bet a bunch of you where enjoying the cooler temps (Hallelujah) and gearing up for Halloween month! I can't believe today is October 1st! Bring on the hunt for costumes, jack-o-lanterns and lots of candy!
