The Perfect Patch

Pumpkin Patch Outfit Idea for Fall

Wednesday evening we headed out for a family tradition. We have been visiting the same pumpkin patch at a local church even before our oldest turned one year old. Since then, several other patches have surfaced, but we continue to make our way to the same perfect and nostalgic place we call ours.

After we picked out the brightest and plumpest pumpkins, we took annual obligatory photos of our girls and the family. When we got home I immediately uploaded them and proudly posted a handful on my personal Facebook page. Before I knew it, I was scrolling through old albums on my page and looking back on all nine years of our tradition. Seeing how much my girls have grown up and remembering how I used to bribe them with toys and candy to "pose" for the camera brought all kinds of smiles.

We haven't established too many traditions that we continue to uphold, but picking out pumpkins at "our" little patch is one that will continue until our girls leave home for college; whether they like or not.

SHOP THE LOOK

The weather wasn't cool, hot or wet on Wednesday, regardless, I was dressing the fall, pumpkin hunting part. For some reason Hunter boots, skinny jeans and a scarf were my vision for the perfect picking. Instead of wrapping the scarf around my neck, I opted for knotting the ends. It satisfied my fall fix even if the weather wasn't on the same page as me.

I haven't shared pictures of my kids on my blog in awhile, so I leave you with the cutest pumpkins in the patch. Have a great weekend, go seek out your own special spot and start a new tradition of your own!

P.S. Gigi New York is running a friends and family sale this weekend only. Get 25% off your purchase by using the code WEAREFAMILY.

OMG Shanna...your girls are just too adorable. What a special tradition. And the lighting in these pics is just magical...the sun on the pumpkins almost reminds me of candy corns! =) I am SO jelly that you have been able to wear jeans! It is supposed to be back up into the 90's this weekend. Gah!

Great pics! And what a nice tradition.

Add me to the how you're wearing your scarf fan club. I'd never think to do that. I love it! I need to try it.

Although I can't believe you're scarfing it with the temps still high in TX! You're a better woman than me!

What a cute look, but definitely the best part are those little braids the girls are sporting, I need to try the crisscross one, so fun.

Your girls are so precious. Yes it just goes by too fast. I try to enjoy every sweet second with my kiddo. I just picked up a similar scarf. I love it but had no clue how to style it, so thanks! Susan

The picture of your girls is precious. Your outfit is as adorable. Love that plaid scarf!! We do the same thing as a family every year- visit a lovely pumpkin patch and have a day at it with the maze, hay ride, and of course LOTS of pics ( usually insisted by me, no surprise there :) Have a very happy weekend, XOXO, Elif
