Tied in Knots

We are headed to sunny California today for a late summer and much needed family vacation. This is our second year and planning to make it a yearly tradition (last year's recap here). We cannot wait for an almost 30 degree temperature drop, to bask in the sun, become official beach bums and rub elbows with Mickey Mouse. I will try to respond to questions and emails as much as I can, but plan to unplug and enjoy our time away. Be sure to follow our adventures on Instagram, if you're interested. :)

I have been counting down the days since we booked our trip several months ago, but the only thing tugging at my heart is Gus, our fur baby GSP. He is a momma's boy and doesn't leave my side when I am at home. This is the longest we have left him since we took him in last December. Our neighbors stepped up to take great care of him while we are gone, but I still can't get past the idea that he will think we abandoned him. My belly is a little twisted and tied in knots about leaving him. Maybe we will take him with us next year. Ha!

SHOP MORE PRINTED KIMONOS

Another thing that's tied up around here is this tribal print kimono. I thought I would show you guys two different ways to wear it. You can leave it draped open or tie it in the front. I got this one at Mays Street Boutique and the owner told me they only have two left. If you're interested, give them a call at 512-248-2555. They will ship to U.S. residents. I also found a few other options above that I love just as much, if you are in the market for a new printed kimono.

Have a great weekend! I may not be here Monday, but the Random Wednesday link up will stay on it's regularly scheduled program for next week. See ya soon! xoxo

I love this print on your kimono. I have not been able to jump on the kimono bandwagon yet. I love them but and so afraid I will look silly, even though no one else does(: I hope you have an amazing trip! Anywhere that has Mickey is a good place to be(: Susan

Have a great time on your vacation Shanna! The weather here is great right now so I have no doubt you'll enjoy the break from the TX heat & humidity! Love that pretty, summery dress, too. :)

what a great look, tieing up the kimino. I feel your pain with Gus, my cat was a "found cat" I got from a shelter and even all these years later everytime I leave i swear she looks at me with those eyes as if to say please don't leave me.. Have a great vacation and Gus will probably do better than you will

Adorable!! And I was the same way we left Geno (my pug) for the first time. And gosh darn it when we got home he was pissed (I knew so because we dropped a hamburg on the floor and he didn't even eat it), but after a few days he was fun and back to his loving self!! Now he doesn't get so mad...he knows we are coming back :)

I love the kimono! And I feel your pain girl. My dogs are 7 years old and I have had them since they were babies. They have only ever been left with my mom until 2 weeks ago our neighbor watched them and they survived and were as happy as can be. Your little fur baby will be a-ok. xo ~ The Fashionista Momma
