What Matters Most

This past weekend was anything but short of amazing. The weather was glorious (short sleeve weather), we celebrated my dad and Landry's birthday, ate at one of our favorite Austin eateries, Che Zee, acted like a little kid with Ross and some of our best friends at Top Golf and Gus came home a week and three days early. I would say this was one of the best weekends thus far in 2014 .

Forever 21 Chambray Tunic (option here and here) // Jennifer Lopez for Kohl's Denim (option here and here) // Old Navy Flats (option here and here) // Forever 21 Zebra Print Scarf // DKNY Crossbody c/o (one sale in four colors) // Forever 21 Sunglasses (option here) // Forever 21 Bracelets // Michael Kors Watch c/o The Jeweler's Wife // Gigglosophy Heart Ring c/o

I have been placing an immense amount of pressure on myself lately, stressing about anything and everything, getting worked up over small details and letting things bother me that I really just need to release from my heart. Weekends like these ground my restlessness, are refreshingly calming, help me forget about the small anxiety attacks I've been experiencing and remind me of how blessed I truly am. I must stop sweating the small stuff because the big stuff like family, celebrations, time with friends, genuine laughter and taking time to actually breathe are what matter most.

P.S. Don't forget to check out the $500 Boden giveaway that I posted earlier today and be sure to visit nine other gorgeous and amazing bloggers while you are at.

You look glow-y and happy. I love your red and blue, very patriotic. Unintentional or a subtle nod to the Olympics?

The Boden Everyday Shopper in Navy is very chic! I've never checked out their website before. Also? You rock this look. Saw the scarf online at Forever 21 about a week ago but hesitated to buy it. Will need to reconsider...

You do fantastic work, Shanna!

I forgot to leave my Boden favorites comments! Where do I begin? I love the Selina dress, the cropped cashmere cardigan and the button back floral sweater. My daughter has this catalog saved with several pages ear marked. They have beautiful, classic clothing! thanks! Susan

That is the perfect size cross body bag and I love that if not filled up too crazy it lays flat to your body.

I have to remind myself to breathe a lot. Taking two minutes for yourself and reassessing life, really does help you out. What a great reminder, thanks!!!

i love everything about this outfit! It looks comfortable and pulled together and has just the right amount of American spirit (which I love in any fun outfit). I also love the fact that you're in SHORT SLEEVES! I still have way too long until it gets warm, but I'm glad you were able to have a warm and relaxing weekend!

Something about being stuck inside pushes us a little too far into our own brains for our own good sometimes. We have too much time indoors to concentrate on small things that don't matter.

Love that outfit
