If you remember from a few weeks ago {here}, I admitted that I felt super awkward when taking outfit shots in public. Well, the Hubs and I went out for lunch and we got to the restaurant at 11:00 AM. Lucky for us me, there weren't many people eager to eat that early. So, I quickly whipped out my camera for the Hubs to start clicking away. I asked him nicely to hurry and snap-snap. There was no time to spare...people were going to start pulling in any minute second.
I was SO proud of myself this go around. I wasn't nearly as nervous and felt more at ease. Maybe that's due to the fact we wrapped up the oh so, professional "photo shoot" in a matter of three minutes or less. Plus, I was super pumped that I would be able to post some pictures with a new scenery...not in my backyard.

I realize that I am squinting quite a bit in these shots. And yes, I accept the fact that some of the more professional bloggers out there are probably GASPING or wishing they could reach through their computer to slap my hand for posting these. I even told the Hubs that we needed to reshoot them...YIKES, another round of public embarrassment?!?!
You want to know what his reply was?
"Babe {that would be me}, people are probably not even looking at your face; they are looking at your dress, shoes or jewelry. Who cares if your eyes aren't opened all the way."
My response:
"Really? Thanks, Babe {that would be the Hubs}."
So, in the future, I might start cropping off my head. I mean, people aren't looking at my face anyway, right? What do you think?
Cheers to a little more courage, lunch at 11:00 AM and the possibility of going headless!
I guess that's better than going topless!

P.S. The Hubs real name is Ross and from now on I will refer to him as so. I think his feelings got a little hurt by me calling him "the Hubs". I have to keep a happy household, my friends!
Today, I am linking up with these fabulous ladies!

That colorblock dress in those bright colors is so pretty! I've cropped my head off some of my photos for making funny faces...but these photos of you are totally acceptable :) I also don't refer to my husband by his name in my blog, but I don't think he cares one way or the other haha.

LOL! Your color blocked dress is adorable- and you look lovely in these pictures!
That being said- I cut my head off in my photos- I just can't stand the way I look in pictures!
The color block dress is adorable! And while I see a lot of bloggers crop the heads of outfit posts... it really is more personable to show your face!! Your husband aka ROSS is right about nobody probably really paying attention {bc unfortunately people are kind pigs} but its really up to you ;)
That is so funny that you get akward about taking pictures because I get super akward too! And so does my manfriend aka photographer so that doesn't help. Probably why I have maybe 2 clothing pictures total on my blog. Haha! You're adorable though and I'm quite obsessed with that dress.

You are so funny. I feel awkward taking pictures in public too. People stare and I know they are wondering who the heck that girl is and why is she posing like that? Oh well! I don't think you should crop your head off at all!

Shana you look awesome and I am glad you took photos outside of the comforts of home. I talked about this topic on Monday and you are in good company! Many of my readers felt awkward taking pictures in heavy traffic locations...but I live in Downtown Chicago filled with tourist so I had to get used to it fast.

I have a similar dress from Forever 21 and I loooove it! I think I like the colors in yours more! :) You look adorable!
Hi Shanna, it's nice to meet you - found your blog via a comment you left on The Other Side of Gray! This dress is colour blocking perfection and looks adorable on you...!
Please don't chop off your head: the solution to squinting is easy - sunglasses!! You can squint to your heart's content then (I always wear them on a bright day). If you keep a pair in your bag then you'll always be prepared! :)
